Year 4 Teacher – Independent School

Education First is recruiting an enthusiastic and experienced Year 4 Teacher to join a highly regarded independent school in Camden.

This is an excellent opportunity for a committed primary teacher looking for a two-term teaching position starting in January.

The Role

As a Year 4 Teacher, you will:

• Take full responsibility for a Year 4 class

• Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons

• Teach across the primary curriculum

• Differentiate learning to meet individual needs

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

• Manage behaviour effectively and consistently

• Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback

• Work closely with teaching assistants and other staff

• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues

• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development

• Contribute to the wider life of the school

• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures

What We're Looking For

The school is looking for a teacher with:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised teaching qualification

• Experience teaching within KS2, ideally Year 4

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• Excellent knowledge of the primary curriculum

• The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons

• A nurturing and supportive approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare

Experience within an independent school would be advantageous, although teachers from strong mainstream primary backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
