ER Recruitment are thrilled to be working with our client, who are an established and successful B2B services business with a strong reputation for delivering technology-led solutions that help its customers operate more effectively.
With an established customer base and a continued focus on growth, they are looking for an experienced B2B Account Manager to join their team.
This is a relationship-led, commercially focused opportunity for someone who enjoys understanding their customers, finding solutions to their challenges and developing accounts over the long term.
You'll inherit an established portfolio of clients, giving you the opportunity to build on existing relationships while identifying new opportunities for growth.

Role & Responsibilities of the Account Manager:

• Take ownership of an established portfolio of B2B customers, developing strong and lasting relationships across a varied client base.
• Become a trusted point of contact for your customers, understanding their businesses, challenges and future requirements.
• Proactively maintain regular contact with clients and ensure relationships remain strong and engaged.
• Conduct structured account reviews to understand customer needs, identify potential risks and uncover opportunities.
• Look for opportunities to develop existing accounts by identifying additional products, services or solutions that genuinely add value.
• Manage the full account lifecycle, including renewals, commercial discussions and ongoing account development.
• Respond to customer queries and take ownership of issues, coordinating with internal colleagues to ensure a positive outcome.
• Work closely with technical, operational and support teams to ensure customers receive a joined-up service.
• Keep accurate records of customer activity, opportunities and key dates within the CRM.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively address any concerns before they become significant issues.
• Contribute to wider commercial initiatives and customer campaigns where appropriate.
• Take responsibility for achieving agreed customer retention, development and revenue objectives.

About You as the Account Manager:

• Previous experience in a B2B Account Management, Client Management or similar customer-facing commercial role.
• Enjoy managing established relationships but are equally motivated by finding ways to develop and grow your accounts.
• Demonstrate a strong track record of customer retention and/or account growth.
• Naturally proactive and don't wait for customers to come to you; you look for reasons to pick up the phone and add value.
• Commercially confident and comfortable identifying opportunities and having conversations around additional products or services.
• Excellent communicator who can build credibility with customers at different levels of an organisation.
• Organised and able to manage multiple customers, priorities and opportunities effectively.
• Confident using CRM systems and understand the importance of keeping customer and commercial information up to date.
• Experience working alongside internal teams to resolve customer issues and deliver solutions.
• Experience within a technology, telecoms, IT, managed services or another technical B2B environment would be advantageous, although relevant transferable experience will also be considered.
• Curious and willing to understand your customers' businesses and the solutions available to them, rather than needing to be a technical specialist yourself.
