Job Description:

Location: Leicester, Leicestershire
Salary: £26,421 per annum (pro rata)
Hours: 22.5, 28 or 37 hours per week
Contract: Fixed term until 31 March 2027

We have 3 positions available for Dispersed Accommodation Practitioners to provide practical, emotional and personal development support to adults and children affected by domestic abuse living in dispersed accommodation.

• Provide one-to-one support, safety planning and practical assistance.
• Support clients with housing, tenancy and welfare needs.
• Complete regular property visits and ensure accommodation is safe and well maintained.
• Complete assessments, support plans, risk assessments and case records.
• Liaise with safeguarding, housing, health and other partner agencies.
• Support clients to access community services and move-on accommodation.
• Advocate for clients and represent them at meetings where required.
• Work alongside colleagues and volunteers to deliver a high-quality service.
• Participate in occasional evening and weekend work when required.

• Experience supporting vulnerable adults and children.
• Understanding of domestic abuse and its impact.
• Experience in refuge, hostel, supported accommodation or a similar setting is desirable.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and multi-agency working.
• Strong communication, organisation and administration skills.
• Ability to complete assessments, support plans and case records.
• Commitment to equality, diversity and non-discriminatory practice.
• Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Enhanced DBS required.
