Are you an English Teacher who can engage post-16 students and help them make measurable progress? Reeson Education is recruiting an English Teacher for a sixth form college in Gosport, Hampshire.

This opportunity would suit an English Teacher with strong subject knowledge, a clear approach to assessment and the ability to adapt lessons for students with different starting points.

The Role:

• Position: English Teacher
• Pay: £140-£220 per day, depending on experience and assignment
• Location: Gosport, Hampshire
• Setting: Sixth form college
• Start date: ASAP

As an English Teacher, you'll teach assigned courses, prepare students for assessments and help them progress to further study or work.

Key Responsibilities for an English Teacher:

• Plan engaging, appropriately challenging lessons and adapt teaching to individual needs.
• Prepare schemes of learning and support students through internal and external assessments.
• Use assessment and targeted interventions to improve student progress.
• Maintain accurate attendance and achievement records.
• Work effectively with learning support staff, colleagues and parents or guardians.

What We're Looking For:

• A degree and postgraduate teaching qualification.
• Strong knowledge of the post-16 English curriculum.
• Experience planning engaging lessons and using assessment to support progress.
• Excellent communication, organisation and safeguarding awareness.
• A commitment to inclusive teaching and continued professional development.
