  • Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

  • Attend site visits to understand project requirements, identify risks and assess delivery constraints.

  • Develop competitive bid proposals that meet client requirements.

  • Raise tender queries and explain pricing assumptions and revisions to clients.

  • Check estimates before submission to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Attend operational meetings and hand over tender information, budgets and key risks to delivery teams.

  • Identify opportunities to improve costs, methods and estimating processes.

  • Consider relevant environmental and safety requirements when preparing estimates.

  • Familiarity with NEC/JCT contracts and tendering portals.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, undertake take-offs and prepare cost plans.

  • Confidence using estimating software and Microsoft Office.

  • Strong numerical skills, attention to detail and commercial judgement.

  • Company car or car allowance.

  • Potential annual bonus through an Employee-Owned Trust, dependent on business profitability.

  • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, with up to five additional days based on length of service.
