Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Clacton-on-Sea - ASAP Start

Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Clacton-on-Sea, starting ASAP. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teaching assistant looking to take the next step in their career and play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school.

The school is looking for a confident and committed practitioner with strong behaviour management skills, experience supporting pupils across the primary age range, and the ability to lead learning activities and cover lessons when required.

📌 CONTRACT DETAILS

• Location - Clacton-on-Sea
• Position - Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
• Type of work - Classroom support, interventions, and lesson cover
• Start date - ASAP
• Duration - Ongoing / Long-term
• Full time/part-time - Full time
• Rate of pay - £100-£120 per day (depending on experience)
• Hours - 08:30am - 15:45pm

📚 EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience working within a UK primary school
• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience desirable
• Experience delivering interventions and covering lessons
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable)

✔️ TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
• Provide two professional child-related references
