KS2 Teaching Assistant - Doncaster

Are you an enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work across primary schools in Doncaster?

Academics, an established Education Agency, are acting as an agency and are recruiting KS2 Teaching Assistants for temporary, ongoing supply work across primary schools in Doncaster.

This KS2 Teaching Assistant opportunity is ideal for someone with experience supporting children in Key Stage 2 who can confidently work alongside teachers and provide effective classroom support. You will help pupils access learning, develop independence and make progress within a Doncaster primary school.

Position: KS2 Teaching Assistant

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply

Pay: £92.56 - £95 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)

Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you

About the Role

Working as a KS2 Teaching Assistant in Doncaster, you will support pupils across Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 with their classroom learning and wider development.

The KS2 Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher to support lessons, activities and interventions. You may also provide small-group or individual support depending on the needs of the Doncaster school.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils across Key Stage 2
• Assist with classroom activities and learning
• Provide individual and small-group support
• Help deliver interventions where required
• Encourage positive behaviour and independence
• Support pupils with their confidence and engagement
• Prepare and organise classroom resources
• Work closely with the class teacher and school staff

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience working with children in a school or similar setting
• Experience supporting Key Stage 2 pupils is desirable
• Confident, caring and adaptable approach
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain one
