Operations Team Leader
Location: Leicestershire (Office Based, Monday-Friday)
Contract: Temporary, 2 Months
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Competitive Hourly Rate
We are exclusively supporting a well-established organisation in the search for an experienced Operations Team Leader to join their team on an immediate basis.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a confident and resilient people manager who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment. You will lead a team of approximately eight employees, providing clear direction, driving accountability and ensuring high levels of performance and customer service.
The successful candidate will be comfortable managing a variety of personalities, addressing performance issues where required, and creating a positive, collaborative team culture. This is not a role for someone who prefers to lead from a distance; you'll be involved in the day-to-day operation and lead by example.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support a team of 8 employees within a busy operational environment
• Drive performance, productivity and accountability across the team
• Conduct regular coaching, feedback and performance management conversations
• Foster a positive and collaborative culture while maintaining high standards
• Identify and implement process improvements and more efficient ways of working
• Review existing team structures and make recommendations to enhance effectiveness
• Monitor workloads and ensure service levels and operational objectives are achieved
• Support the team through change and encourage continuous improvement
• Act as a visible leader, remaining actively involved in day-to-day operations

About You

• Proven experience in a Team Leader, Operations Team Leader, Contact Centre Team Leader or Supervisor position
• Strong people management skills with the ability to handle challenging conversations professionally and effectively
• Experience driving performance, engagement and operational excellence
• Confident, credible and resilient leadership style
• Ability to build relationships quickly and gain the respect of a diverse team
• Experience within Financial Services, Customer Service or Contact Centre environments would be highly advantageous
• A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency
• Available to start immediately
