Year 5 Teacher – Full Time

Salary: Main Pay Scale (MPS/UPS)
Start Date: September 2026 (Autumn Term)
Contract: Full-Time

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the NG8 area of Nottingham, who are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join their team from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire and support pupils during a crucial stage of their primary education. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and helping pupils achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

As a Year 5 Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress effectively.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupil development.
• Contribute positively to the wider school community.

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills.
• Has strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
• Is passionate about raising standards and pupil achievement.
• Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
