Production Supervisor – Engineering / CNC Manufacturing

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum
Location: Nottinghamshire
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: Rotating AM/PM Shifts

TN Talent Recruitment are working with an established and successful engineering and manufacturing business who are looking to recruit experienced Production Supervisors to join their growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in precision engineering or CNC manufacturing who enjoys leading teams, being hands-on within production and driving improvements across the shop floor.

Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you'll play an important role in ensuring day-to-day manufacturing operations run smoothly, production targets are achieved and the team is supported to deliver the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

As Production Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising and supporting production teams across rotating AM and PM shifts.

• Overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production, quality and delivery targets are achieved.

• Planning and allocating workloads to ensure production schedules are maintained.

• Providing hands-on leadership, guidance and support to shop floor employees.

• Monitoring performance against safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.

• Identifying production issues and implementing effective solutions.

• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and efficiency.

• Ensuring health and safety procedures and quality standards are consistently maintained.

• Working closely with the Production Manager and other departments to resolve operational challenges.

• Supporting employee training, development and performance.

• Ensuring effective communication and handovers between shifts.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

• Previous experience as a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Workshop Supervisor or Engineering Team Leader.

• A strong background in precision engineering, CNC machining or a similar technical manufacturing environment.

• A good understanding of CNC milling, turning and general machining processes.

• Experience leading, motivating and developing production teams.

• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications.

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.

• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

• A practical, hands-on approach to leadership.

• Flexibility to work rotating AM and PM shifts.
