Project Manager

Job description

A great opportunity for a Project Manager is available to join a reputable Main Construction Contractor. The role will be based near Tayside and you will be responsible for a number of site staff whilst making sure that projects are successfully delivered. We are looking for a Project Manager who can demonstrate experience overseeing large scale projects whilst displaying the ability to guide, manage and motivate others.

Responsibilities:

• Liaising regularly with the Management Teams.
• Oversee project progress and cost control whilst managing the site team/ sub-contractors.
• Participate and lead meetings including weekly contract meetings, reviews, pre-start, technical and progress meetings.
• Promote health and safety practices.
• Mentor and train staff where required.
• Develop tender programme into a construction programme and determine appropriate construction methods.
• Identify and resolve any construction problems.
• Carry out and oversee site inspections daily.
• Interact with public authorities, local authorities and NHBC, ensuring relevant orders are placed.
• Investigate any delays or accidents, ensuring correct procedures are carried out.
• Make sure labour and materials for site are overseen.

Essential:

• Demonstrable Project Management experience (or similar) within the construction industry.
• CSCS Card
• Exceptional communication and motivational skills.
• Strong drive to meet deadlines.

Desirable:

• Degree relating to Construction, Engineering or similar.
• SMSTS
• First Aid
• Management qualification.
• RAMS qualification.
