Quality Lead
Salary: £36,000
Location: Keighley, West Yorkshire
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 37 hours per week
We are recruiting a Quality Lead for a well-established manufacturing business in Keighley.
This is predominantly a Quality-focused position, with approximately 72% of the role centred around Quality, alongside responsibility for Health & Safety and Environmental systems. It would suit an experienced Quality Engineer, Senior Quality Engineer, Quality Manager or Quality professional with previous management responsibility who enjoys working within a smaller manufacturing environment.

The company has undergone a significant turnaround in recent years and is now growing and diversifying into a number of markets.
They have a well-equipped manufacturing facility and further changes and improvements are planned across the factory.
The role
As Quality Lead, you will take ownership of the site's Quality Management Systems and oversee the quality function.
Quality is very much the priority. Health & Safety experience would be beneficial, although external H&S support can be utilised, meaning someone with a strong Quality background should not be put off if H&S is not their strongest area.
Key responsibilities will include:
Maintaining and improving ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems
Managing internal audits and supporting external approvals
Coordinating PPAP and PFMEA activities
Managing non-conformances, 8D investigations and corrective actions
Supporting customer complaints and supplier quality issues
Developing SPC and process capability techniques
Supporting inspection and measurement activities when required
Working with Operations to develop and monitor quality KPIs
Managing and supporting the existing Quality team
Coordinating Health & Safety and Environmental requirements
Requirements
The successful Quality Lead will ideally have:
Quality Assurance experience within an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment
Previous experience managing, supervising or mentoring people
Knowledge of PPAP and PFMEA
Experience with 8D, NCRs and corrective actions
Internal auditing experience
Understanding of SPC and process capability
A practical manufacturing or engineering background
Strong communication skills and the confidence to work directly with senior management, customers and suppliers
