Quantity Surveyor
Lymington, Hampshire
Salary up to £70,000 + Car Allowance + Healthcare + Pension + 25 Days Holiday

Blaymires Recruitment is representing an established Chartered building company based near Lymington, which is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its management team.

With over 20 years of trading history, the company delivers bespoke new homes, high-end residential renovations and commercial construction projects valued up to £4 million across the New Forest and surrounding areas.

This is an opportunity to join a growing business and take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from inception through to final account. You will bring strong technical knowledge, attention to detail and a commercially focused approach.

The Role

• Manage project budgets, costs and financial reporting throughout the construction process.
• Prepare and review scope of works documents and bills of quantities.
• Manage tender enquiries, assess quotations and procure subcontract packages.
• Administer subcontract accounts, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Work closely with the management and site teams to monitor expenditure and maintain profitability.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Manage contractual matters under Joint Contracts Tribunal forms of contract.

About You

• Proven quantity surveying experience within construction, ideally delivering high-end residential projects.
• Experience managing commercial activities from inception through to final account.
• Strong knowledge of tendering, subcontract procurement and account management.
• Ability to prepare detailed scope of works documents and bills of quantities.
• Sound understanding of Joint Contracts Tribunal forms of contract.
• Excellent organisation, financial management and negotiation skills.
• Confident communicating with clients and building effective working relationships.
