We are looking for a dedicated SEN / SEMH Teaching Assistant to join an alternative provision secondary school in Thrapston, supporting students aged 11-16.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
As a SEN / SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide individualised support to students who may require additional help with their learning, behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement.

You do not necessarily need to have previous Teaching Assistant experience if you have the right attitude, transferable experience and passion for supporting young people.
As part of the role, successful candidates will be provided with an opportunity to further develop their qualifications.
Once recruited, successful candidates will be placed onto a mandatory Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship.
If you already hold a Level 3 qualification, you will instead be supported to progress onto a Level 5 qualification.
This makes the role an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within education and alternative provision.
Due to the location of the school, you must be able to drive and have reliable access to transport, unless you live within walking distance of the school.
