Job Title: SEND Teacher
Location: Retford 
Start Date: ASAP
Daily Pay Rate: £120–£215 (depending on experience and qualifications)
Are you a dedicated SEND Teacher looking for a rewarding role in Retford?
Provide Education—a local specialist recruitment agency—is partnering with specialist SEN school to appoint an inspirational SEND Teacher to join their team, starting ASAP. The role will be on a temp-perm basis, following a sucessful probation period.
About the Role
  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for pupils with a range of special educational needs (ASC, ADHD, SEMH needs and Complex care, linked to trauma)
  • Support pupils in Key Stages 1–4 with bespoke, sensory-aware, and communication-focused teaching strategies
  • Collaborate with SENCOs, therapists, and support staff to implement and monitor EHCP targets
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and confidence
  • Track pupil progress, provide constructive feedback, and report on educational outcomes
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (essential)
  • Proven experience teaching in an SEN or specialist setting
  • Knowledge of alternative communication methods (e.g., Makaton, PECS) and sensory integration strategies
  • Strong behaviour-management skills and a calm, resilient approach
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and record-keeping abilities
