Job description
Delta Personnel is looking for an experienced Site Manager for a water sector civils project in Little Hallingbury, near Bishop’s Stortford.
Start date: Monday 26 October 2026
Duration: Expected to run into the new year, with a break over Christmas.
You will manage daily site activities and oversee a small team expected to include two excavator operators, a dumper groundworker and a groundworker covering traffic marshalling and banksman duties.At least one member of the site team must hold CAT & Genny training.
Duties include:
- Managing site operatives, plant and subcontractors.
- Planning daily activities and working to the construction programme.
- Ensuring RAMS, permits and site safety procedures are followed.
- Carrying out site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings.
- Monitoring workmanship and maintaining site records.
- Coordinating deliveries and liaising with the project team and client.
Requirements:
- Previous Site Manager experience on civils projects, ideally within water or wastewater.
- SMSTS.
- Valid CSCS card.
- First Aid.
- Thames Water Safety Passport. The client can facilitate this if required.
