Synergy Personnel Ltd are recruiting on behalf of our client for a permanent Standalone Site Manager to join their growing team.

📅 Permanent Position

Our client has secured a £4m new-build education project in Brighton and, due to continued growth across the eastern part of their geographical area, they are looking to appoint an experienced Standalone Site Manager on a permanent basis.

With a further two potential projects already in the pipeline and visibility of schemes up to £10m, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager looking for a long-term position with a growing contractor.

The Role

As the Standalone Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful day-to-day delivery of the project, ensuring that works are completed safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of the site, while also having the experience and capability to step into larger projects as part of a wider delivery team.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experienced Site Manager with a strong background in construction

• Experience delivering new-build projects

• Education sector experience would be advantageous

• Comfortable managing a project as a Standalone Site Manager

• Experience on projects valued around £4m–£10m

• Ideally permanently employed rather than currently working freelance

• Based ideally around Chichester or west of Brighton, within approximately an hour's commute

• Strong IT skills and confident using project management software

• Experience with Asta Powerproject and construction programmes

• Strong understanding of health & safety, quality and programme management

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

Essential Qualifications / Certifications

• CSCS Black Card

• SMSTS

• Asbestos Awareness

• First Aid

• Fire Marshall

Temporary Works Coordinator certification/experience would be highly desirable.
