Job Title: Maths Teacher (ECT)

Salary: MPS (ECT Scale)
Job Type: Full-time, Long-Term (with potential for permanent)
Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner if available)

We are working with a supportive and well-established secondary school in Coventry to recruit a motivated Early Career Teacher (ECT) of Maths. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to begin their career in a nurturing environment with strong mentoring and development support.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students build confidence and achieve their full potential in mathematics.

• Plan and deliver structured and engaging Maths lessons with support from the department
• Teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4
• Work closely with a mentor to develop teaching practice and classroom management skills
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support improvement
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Participate in the school's ECT induction programme
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and Maths department

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending completion of training
• Degree in Mathematics or a related subject
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching Maths
• Willingness to learn, develop, and take on feedback
• Good organisational and communication skills
• A positive and proactive attitude
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
