Yardman 

Location: Avonmouth, Bristol
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: £14.50–£15.50 per hour
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x the standard hourly rate

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Yardman to join our client’s busy depot in Avonmouth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, hands-on individual with experience operating construction machinery to join a well-established business. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining an organised yard and ensuring machinery is cleaned, prepared and presented to a high standard before delivery to customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare new machinery

• Carry out weekly and monthly stock checks.

• Manage machine movements within the yard, including deliveries and collections.

• Assist with the day-to-day organisation and general upkeep of the yard.

• Ensure machinery is presented to a high standard and ready for customer delivery.

• Follow all relevant health and safety procedures.

• Support the wider team with general yard duties as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Essential: Previous experience operating construction machinery.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• A strong eye for detail and pride in maintaining high standards.

• A flexible, proactive approach to work.

• The ability to work safely and responsibly in a busy depot environment.

• A forklift or telehandler licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
