Are you an experienced sales professional with a background in civils, groundworks, aggregates, soil stabilisation or builders' merchants?
 
We are recruiting for a growing business providing an innovative, lower-carbon solution to the UK construction and groundworks market. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an Area Sales Manager to take ownership of developing sales across the UK.
This is a highly autonomous role suited to somebody who enjoys being out in front of customers, developing relationships and generating new business rather than spending every day behind a desk.
 
Other job titles could include: Business Development Manager, Field Sales, Sales Executives, Account Manager, Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Civils Sales, External Sales, Territory Sales or similar. 
 
The Role - Area Sales Manager:

• You will be responsible for driving sales of a specialist product used across residential construction, groundworks, and earthworks.
• Working nationally, you will develop relationships with groundworkers, contractors, civils businesses, stabilisation companies and merchants.
• Identifying and developing new business opportunities across the UK
• Expectation of 2-3 days visiting customers and the remainder working from home
• Visiting customers, construction sites and merchant locations
• Building relationships with groundworkers, contractors and civils businesses
• Delivering product demonstrations and presentations
• Developing existing accounts and generating repeat business
• Attending relevant industry exhibitions and events
• Managing your own diary, territory and customer activity
• Recording customer activity and follow-ups through the company CRM
• Working closely with the internal operations and marketing teams

What We're Looking For - Area Sales Manager:

• Experience selling products into Groundworks, Civils, Aggregates, Soil or lime, Civils/builders' merchants industries or similar
• Proven experience working to KPIs and hitting targets
• Confident meeting customers face-to-face
• Happy to travel nationwide for customer meetings and events
• Holds a full UK driving licence and own vehicle

Salary & Package - Area Sales Manager:

• £45,000+ salary per annum
