Location: Loughborough
Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour
Contract: Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 16:00
• Friday: 07:00 – 13:00

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated CNC Milling Operator to join their growing manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist looking to work within a modern engineering environment producing high-quality precision components.

The role would suit an individual who is confident operating CNC milling machines, has a strong eye for detail, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy. There is also genuine opportunity to develop your skills further into CNC setting and programming.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling machines using Fanuc and Heidenhain controls
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Manufacture precision components to tight tolerances
• Conduct in-process and final inspections using measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, and gauges
• Ensure components meet quality standards and customer requirements
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Follow all company quality, health, and safety procedures

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience operating CNC milling machines
• Experience working with Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience using measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, and gauges
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
• A reliable, positive, and team-focused approach

Desirable Skills

• CNC setting experience
• Basic CNC programming knowledge
• Experience working within a precision engineering environment
