Health & Safety Manager

Job description

We’re recruiting for a Health & Safety Manager to join a busy manufacturing environment in Driffield.

This is a hands-on, production-focused role where you’ll work closely with managers and shop-floor teams to improve safety standards, drive behavioural change and build a proactive H&S culture.

• Lead H&S audits, inspections and risk assessments
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses
• Develop Safe Systems of Work and practical risk controls
• Monitor H&S performance, KPIs and trends
• Deliver H&S training and workforce engagement
• Support production managers with H&S advice
• Drive continuous improvement and behavioural safety
• Develop and maintain H&S policies and procedures
• Promote Stop Work Authority and a proactive safety culture

• NEBOSH qualified – essential
• Level 5/6 Occupational Health & Safety qualification desirable
• Strong H&S experience within manufacturing or production
• Experienced in risk assessment and incident investigation
• Confident working directly with production teams
• Practical, approachable and able to influence at all levels
• Passionate about improving workplace safety
