Salary: £55,000 + Package

The Opportunity

We are working with an established M&E contractor who is looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join their growing team in the East Midlands.

The company delivers a range of mechanical and electrical projects across the commercial, residential and leisure sectors, with project values of up to £5m.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor looking to join a busy and growing contractor, working on a variety of projects and taking responsibility for the successful delivery of mechanical installations on site.

The Role

As Mechanical Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing mechanical installations, coordinating site teams and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to the required standard.

Responsibilities will include:

• Supervising mechanical installation works across site.

• Managing and coordinating mechanical subcontractors and site operatives.

• Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and programme requirements.

• Monitoring progress and reporting back to the Project Manager.

• Coordinating labour, materials and plant requirements.

• Carrying out regular quality checks and ensuring installations meet the required standards.

• Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed.

• Attending site meetings and coordinating with other trades.

• Identifying and resolving site issues to avoid delays.

• Ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Supervisor with a strong building services background and experience working on commercial M&E projects.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Supervisor within an M&E contractor.

• Strong mechanical building services knowledge.

• Experience supervising mechanical installations on commercial projects.

• Experience across sectors such as commercial, residential and leisure.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.

• Experience managing subcontractors and site-based teams.

• Good communication and organisational skills.

• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.

• SMSTS or SSSTS.

• A proactive approach with the ability to manage site activities independently.
