Site Manager - School Refurbishment Works
Location: Leicester
Duration: 3-4 Months
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: Negotiable

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a programme of refurbishment works within a live school environment in Leicester.

The project involves fire safety upgrades, including fire door installation and replacement, alongside a variety of internal refurbishment works throughout the building. The successful candidate will have experience managing projects within occupied environments, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to the school's day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overall day-to-day management of site operations

• Coordination of fire door installation and associated fire stopping works

• Management of internal refurbishment works, including partitions, ceilings, flooring, decorations, M&E alterations, and general fit-out activities

• Supervision and coordination of subcontractors and site teams

• Ensuring health & safety compliance across all site activities

• Management of RAMS, permits, inductions, and toolbox talks

• Liaising with the client, school representatives, and project stakeholders

• Monitoring programme, quality standards, and project progress

• Managing snagging, handover, and project completion

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on refurbishment projects

• Previous experience working within live educational or occupied environments

• Knowledge of fire door and passive fire protection works

• SMSTS

• First Aid at Work

• CSCS Card

• Strong organisational and communication skills

• Ability to drive programme and manage multiple trades simultaneously
